Garrett brings decades of experience in general and military aviation and educational leadership. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences from Kansas State University and received a commission in the USAF. Garrett spent 25 years in the Air Force on active duty and the Oregon Air National Guard as an F-15C fighter pilot and T-37B instructor pilot. After retiring from the Air Force, Garrett attained a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching from Multnomah University, Portland, Oregon. He taught sixth grade math and science for a short time in Battle Ground, Washington, before accepting his current position at Pearson Field Education Center in 2015.
Aviation Program Coordinator
Deborah has been with The Historic Trust since January 2006 and she helped open the doors of the Pearson Field Education Center in 2013. Her administrative skills are invaluable to the organization as are her creative programming ideas. Before working with the Trust, she raised two sons on a mountain up in the Columbia River Gorge on 20 acres. She worked at The Enterprise, a weekly newspaper located in White Salmon, WA, where she was the office manager. She also managed a convenience store and worked customer service for Luhr-Jensen in Hood River, OR. Deborah enjoys reading, sewing, and gardening during her spare time.
